Urban Oasis: Reflections from Our Spring Renewal Workshop
In the heart of a bustling urban landscape, something quietly sacred unfolded.
As part of a special collaboration with BeeWell Yoga Studio in Rogers, Arkansas, ReWilding: Lab had the pleasure of guiding a group of dedicated yogis-in-training through our Spring Renewal workshop—an immersive experience designed to reconnect body, mind, and nature at the turning of the season.
We gathered in a patch of green tucked between city streets, where the hum of traffic offered a striking contrast to the stillness we cultivated together. Nearby, a stream flowed—its waters gently carrying away not just fallen leaves, but the thoughts and habits we were ready to release.
Though we didn’t practice yoga postures, we reflected on their origins. From Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) to Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog), Bakasana (Crow Pose), and Ustrasana (Camel Pose), these animal-inspired forms reminded us that the earliest yogis lived in close attunement with the more-than-human world. The body, shaped by nature, mirrored nature.
As part of our seasonal ritual, we worked with fresh sage—graciously donated by Honest Dirt Farm in Fayetteville—to honor the arrival of spring. Together, we offered our gratitude, our intentions, and our presence to the living world around us.
No art was made this time, at least not in the traditional sense. But the ritual itself, the shared silence, the courage to let go—these, too, were acts of creation.
Workshops like this are part of ReWilding: Lab’s mission to reweave personal renewal with ecological awareness—offering place-based experiences that support whole health and community resilience.
To everyone who joined us: thank you for showing up with open hearts. And to BeeWell Yoga Studio: thank you for your trust, your collaboration, and your vision.
If the Spring Renewal stirred something inside you—if you felt the whisper of strength returning—our next gathering might be exactly what you need.
